Cookie Policy

Effective August 17, 2026

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. AlignmentChart uses a handful of them — plus browser local storage — to keep you signed in, secure sign-in, remember preferences, and measure usage. This page lists every one and what it does. For the bigger picture, see our Privacy Policy.

Local storage

Local storage is similar to cookies but never leaves your browser automatically. We use it for:

KeyPurpose
alignmentchart_anon_tokenA random token that keeps anonymous votes consistent and prevents duplicates. Contains no personal information.
themeRemembers your light or dark mode preference.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you delete or block the essential cookies, you will be signed out and sign-in will not work. To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Clearing your browser’s site data also removes the local storage entries above — anonymous votes you cast will no longer be linked to your browser.

If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and its effective date. Questions? Email tastieradventures@gmail.com.
