About AlignmentChart
AlignmentChart is where the internet settles its alignment arguments. Lawful to chaotic, good to evil, and every square decided by crowd vote. The finished chart isn’t one person’s hot take; it’s the community’s verdict, on the record, with every vote counted.
How a chart gets filled
Someone starts a chart
Pick a topic and a shape: a classic 3×3, a bigger grid, or a map of states or countries. It goes up empty.
The crowd fills the ballot
Each square opens as a timed round. Signed-in players suggest entries, as images or plain text, or the chart starts with a fixed set from a TierMaker template.
The vote locks each square
Anyone can vote, one vote each. When the clock runs out the top entry takes the square for good and the next round opens. No take-backs, and no one person gets the final word.
What makes it different
- A real vote, not a comment thread
- Most alignment charts get filled in the comments: whoever posts first collects the upvotes, and the person who made the chart picks the winner. Here every square is its own ballot with a closing time, one vote per person, and the result is counted, not chosen.
- The chart fills itself
- Nobody has to edit the image and repost it nine times. Rounds open and close on their own, and the chart updates the moment a square is decided.
- You can see how every square was decided
- Tap any filled square to see the winner, the full vote with every count, and who suggested each entry. The whole history lives on one page.
- Vote on the picture, not a description
- Entries are images or short text, laid out as a ballot you can scan in a second, instead of names buried in a thread.
- More than a 3×3
- Bigger grids, labelled rows and columns, highlighted labels, maps of US states, continents or the whole world, five chart themes, spoiler blur and a reveal mode for guessing games.
- Made to share
- Every chart has a share card for links and a one-tap image download, drawn in the classic chart style.
- Safe without a waiting room
- Every image and piece of text is checked automatically before anyone else sees it, so good entries go live instantly. No NSFW content, ever, and anything that slips through can be reported and hidden by the community.
What we’re building next
The goal: making a great chart should take a minute, and every entry should look right.

- Search built into chart creation and voting. Type “Breaking Bad characters”, “Gen 1 Pokémon” or “NFL teams” and pick from images pulled from movie and TV, anime, game, comics and sports databases. No hunting for images, no uploading.

Free and fan-made
Browsing and voting don’t need an account; sign up to make charts and get a profile. Charts are fan commentary, and the characters and franchises in them belong to their owners. The house rules are in the Terms & Conditions; how we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
